Integration – the new mural in Bielsko-Biała

The work of Paweł Swanski presents the eternal fight of the forces of nature.

The large-sized painting which presents fighting animals – an eagle and a dragon – was made on the wall of Wokulski shopping centre facing 11 Listopada Street in the heart of Bielsko-Biała just by the bridge on the River Biała.

The mural was made by the Warsaw artist under the name of Paweł Swanski at the beginning of September 2018. It is another work that has occurred through the 5th “oBBraz miasta” project realized by Fundacja Galerii Bielskiej and Galeria Bielska BWA.

The mural - “Scalenie” (“Integration”) - is another piece of art created by the Warsaw artist that has occurred as the part of his series named “Gąszcz” (“The Maze”).

By the presentation of fighting animals - an eagle and a dragon – Swanski pays attention on laws of nature that have a direct influence on human relationships. In the human world as in the animal kingdom, an ongoing struggle is continued, stronger mostly wins and each process comes full circle, rendering that despite of uproar and incongruities everything follows the world order. Through the mural the artist draws our attention to force of Mother Earth and links between us. Swanski created the mural for Bielsko-Biała in linear style that characterizes him and refers to East art, its symbols, xylography works but also modern art of tattoo.
