Born in 1967 in Bielsko-Biała; studied at the Faculty of Print in Katowice (branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków); degree in design under Associate Professor Tomasz Jura (poster); degree in painting and drawing under Professor A.S. Kowalski (1993).
15 solo exhibitions (including: Galeria Antoniego Rząsy, Zakopane, 1999; Galeria Ganek, Siemianowice Śląskie, 2000; Klub Karma, Warsaw, 2003); more than 60 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad (including: the National Painting Competition „Bielska Jesień ‘97” Galeria Bielska BWA, Bielsko-Biała, 1997; 14th Hurriyet International Cartoon Competition, Istanbul, Turkey, 1997; exhibitions commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Academy of Fine Arts, the Silesian Museum, Katowice, 2006; 21st Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting, Szczecin, 2006).
Several honourable mentions in „Work of the Year” exhibition at Galeria ZPAP in Katowice and during 1st Summer Art Salon, Galeria Bielska BWA, Bielsko-Biała. The artist’s main pursuit is painting.
My paintings show a spectrum of characters captured in various situations or accompanied by a symbol. As a result, the paintings are enriched with a plot, a story stub, which makes the characters more intimate and interesting for the viewer; they may try to imagine how these stories unfurl. The titles also offer some hints, which the viewer may or may not follow.
