Exhibitions, curated tour, history of the Rząsa family, selfie op, children’s corner and jam session at Café Club Aquarium. Admission free!

Similarly to many other galleries and museum across the country, Galeria Bielska BWA invites visitors to the Museum Night 2019, which will be held from 6 to 11 pm on Saturday, 18 May. Admission to all the exhibitions, workshops and other events, including a jam session in Café Club Aquarium is free of charge.

The main features of this year’s Museum Night are the Rząsa family and wood sculptures. Both of the Gallery halls will be occupied by an exhibition of wood sculptures created by an outstanding artist from Zakopane, the late Antoni Rząsa. Main events include a curated tour of the exhibition and a meeting dedicated to the Rząsa family which spans a few generations of artists. The sculptures, which once earned Antoni the nickname God’s Lumberjack, will now inspire children to create their own work of art, as well as providing unique background for all selfie enthusiasts. Café Club Aquarium will have a photographic exhibition of works by Magda Ciszewska-Rząsa and some live jazz by young musicians from Bielsko-Biała.
