THE 10TH ANDRZEJ BATURO FOTO ART FESTIVAL BIELSKO-BIAŁA

A jubilee festival with exceptional photographs by outstanding Polish artists. Documentary, landscape, portrait, reportage, experiment.

For the 10th time, Bielsko-Biała will host the Foto Art Festival - the brainchild of the pair of photographers from Bielsko-Biała, Andrzej and Inez Baturo. Since its debut in 2005, the festival has not lost momentum. Since the seventh edition in 2017, the Foto Art Festival has been named after Andrzej Baturo.
Inez Baturo is the programme and organisational director of the Foto Art Festival.

Exhibitions will be presented in several galleries in Bielsko-Biała – including Galeria Bielska BWA and Sixt's Villa, the B&B Gallery of Photography – in the period from 13 to 29 October 2023, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The most important event of the first festival weekend will be the Photographers’ Marathon (14-15 October 2023) – a highly popular meeting with artists participating in the festival.

During the festival, the Festival Center and the Press Office will be located in: POINT 11, , Bielsko-Biała, 11 Listopada Street 11 and open daily from 10:00 to 18:00.

Inez Baturo – photographer, curator of the B&B Photographic Gallery, president of the Photography Centre Foundation; programme and organisational director of the Foto Art Festival in Bielsko-Biała:
We are united by photography and kindness to the world and people. Our slogan is “Slow Life. A festival about people and for people”.
The first Foto Art Festival took place in 2005. The festival was created and given an individual character to the event by well-known photographic artists associated with the city Inez and Andrzej Baturo - curators, who run the B&B Photographic Gallery in Bielsko-Biala and founders of the Photography Centre Foundation.

Andrzej Baturo, long-standing president of the Photography Centre Foundation and general director of the festival from the beginning, died in June 2017 at the age of 77. Since the seventh edition in 2017, the Foto Art Festival has been named after Andrzej Baturo.

The Foto Art Festival is organised by the Bielsko-Biała Municipality and the Photography Centre Foundation.
The programme and organisational director is Inez Baturo.
The festival takes place under the auspices of the Mayor of Bielsko-Biała Jarosław Klimaszewski.
