The competition, which has been organised for many years in Bielsko-Biała, is an important review of artistic skills, inventiveness and aspirations of young painters.
Organised jointly by the Art School in Bielsko-Biała and the Centre for Artistic Education in Warsaw, the competition covers the work of young people studying at art schools - both public and non-public - in matriculation or pre-matriculation classes in the years 2019-2022.
The Biennale is an important review of the workshop skills and the inventiveness and aspirations of young visual artists. The awarded and distinguished works and the entire post-competition exhibition reflect how secondary schools implement the students' artistic education programme, its elements such as knowledge of the principles of composition, observation of nature and correctness of the construction of form and space, as well as the ability to operate a wide range of means of expression.
The jury consisting of Prof. Antoni Cygan, Prof. Wojciech Zubala, Prof. Arkadiusz Karapuda, PhD, Prof. of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Prof. Andrzej Zwolak, PhD, will select the work awarded the Grand Prix, award prizes and honorable mentions in the field of painting and drawing, as well as qualifying the works for the exhibition which will be presented in Galeria Bielska BWA.
In total, over 500 entries from 31 schools have been submitted to the competition.
